How do you make money blogging? Interview with one of the most favorite and famous bloggers: Elna Cain of Twinsmommy.com

Today I am happy to publish our favorite blogger Elna Cain of TwinsMommy.com on our Sprout-Flowers.com.

Like many, I too have this question in my mind:

Can you make money blogging?

You very well can. Here is a living example Elna Cain. You can literally find any answers on blogging or freelance writing on her blog. She is one of the famous bloggers in the US.

She gives out a pile of information for free. She is just a generous person wanting to help others achieve what she achieved already.

I personally have been following her blogs. I already learned so much from her. Also, if you have any questions, just drop a comment in her blog. I assure she will respond to your question.

Describe how did you first get into blogging and what made you get into blogging?

My twins were around 15 months old when I decided I wanted to find work online. I knew I didn’t want to return to work as a teacher and since daycare for twins would’ve probably eaten up my paycheck, staying home meant saving money.

Since my husband works online, he suggested trying being a virtual assistant. I looked into that but found that I did not like the role of a virtual assistant.

During this time, I was following mom bloggers and noticed that many of them were also freelance writers. Since I love writing, I figured this could be something I could do.

So, my official start to blogging was to actually try to make money! And it eventually paid off! I started a service-based blog, attracted clients and have been doing this for almost four years.

During this time, I’ve started other blogs and my other blog, Twins Mommy is my passion blog. I help moms make money blogging and become a better blogger!

Where can we find you other than your blog?

I have several blogs in different niches if you are interested in other topics I write about! Elna Cain is my freelance writing blog where I help people become freelance writers.

Smart Mom Ideas is a parenting blog to help pregnant moms and new moms live a smarter life.

Imperfectly Perfect Mama is a contributor blog where moms share their best tips and stories about motherhood.

Please enter your Facebook, Pinterest and other social media links so our clients/visitors can follow you.

You can find me on my Facebook page, my Facebook group Mom to Mompreneur and on Pinterest!

What are the best services you are offering to your readers?

On Twins Mommy, I am not offering any services at the moment. For my audience, I offer online courses and masterclasses.

On Elna Cain, I do offer freelance writing services. I work closely with digital brands.

Tip: Please give a link to your course or any products you are offering too.

What do you think is the best strategy that worked well for you to get more traffic to your blog?

For me, having the right type of posts that help my readers was what helped me get traffic, comments, and shares on my blog.

Another significant factor is using Pinterest to promote my blog posts. It has been a game changer for many of my blogs.

What are the premium tools or plugins you would recommend every blogger?

Tailwind is a social media automation tool, and it’s one tool any blogger wanting to use Pinterest should have.

ConvertKit is my email service provider and has helped me grow my business and brand. It’s easy to use and has a lot of features like landing pages and opt-in forms.

How do you manage time to run your blog efficiently and what percentage of the time are you spending on blogging versus your personal/family time?

Managing your time as a blogger is a challenge – especially if you’re a mom!

For me, having a schedule and dedicated time to work has helped me tremendously. My strategies have also changed over the years too.

When my twins were little and napped during the day, I would only work when they napped and went to bed.

When they no longer napped, I worked in the early morning and when they went to bed.

Now, that my twins attend school, I can work during school hours.

Because I have more time to dedicate to blogging, I can call myself a full-time blogger and average around 30 hours a week to all my blogs.

How do you want to improve your blog in the next year?

In a year’s time, I hope to have more courses available to writers and bloggers, and I hope to automate a lot of my business so that I can be free to vacation and take time off to spend with my family.

What was your greatest failure in your blogging/life and what did you learn from that?

For me, I feel my greatest failure is getting stuck. If one strategy isn’t working, I have a hard time finding something new.

I need some time to sit and think, and this can slow down my business. So, I have to learn to let go and move on quicker!

Tell me about your proudest achievement in blogging?

For me, it’s starting my Facebook group, Mom to Mompreneur. I am meeting so many amazing mom bloggers and mompreneurs with businesses that it’s inspiring. I love helping them and love seeing how they help other moms.

Who has impacted you most in blogging and how?

The thing that has impacted the most about blogging is that blogging is a small community. My friends in real life have a hard time understanding blogging, and my family has no idea either.

While I’m fortunate to have my husband help me with my blogs and business, knowing that being a blogger is something that you can’t write on a form for what you do, I’m hopeful that over time, it will be a recognized career!

How do you motivate yourself to keep the blog up and running?

My email subscribers help me every day! I get wonderful emails from them telling me what they’ve learned from one of my blog posts or course lessons and it gives me courage that what I’m doing is helpful.

What advice or suggestion would you give to the fresh bloggers to become successful?

Just start! It’s better just to start and not be perfect than wait for the right time to start. Blogging is a journey, and your initial point is only one stop on this wonderful trip! So don’t let knowing what to blog about stop you; start your blog and start connecting with others!

I am sure you would have learned a lot from her interview. I would love to hear. Please convey your opinion in the comment section below.
